What a great weekend! I hope you all had a swell one as well—the blogs I’ve been up-to-date on all seem like you did something great for Father’s day, which is super!
I won my second blog giveaway which was pretty exciting! Christy over at Christy's Kitchen Creations. I always loved reading and viewing her practical recipes and was super excited when her and a friend decided to follow their dreams and open a bakery called Decadent Dreams Bakery. Then once I saw the darling cookie bouquets and such I was waiting for an occasion to order them—of course then I won the Father’s Day Cookie Giveaway! Christy contacted me and asked what my dad liked so they could customize. I said he is all about tools and always in his garage and “workshop” making things, fixing things, etc. The cookies turned out so cute and tasted awesome too! I would head on over to her bakery if you need any custom cookie bouquets and other goodies made! Thanks so much Christy!
Pliers and Hammer
Also I picked up a magazine recently that I hadn’t seen or read before. It’s the Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade.
My Thoughts: I would give it a 6 out of 10. It is a new magazine so I am sure they are still going to improve. I think it’d be super for families that love to cook quick meals using prepared products; for me, I like cooking from scratch and taking a longer time in the kitchen. The layout was ok, not much ads. It had really cool decorating ideas using cheap items too. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
