Deck the Halls

Good thing about today: It’s Friday.

Bad thing about today: I was greeted this morning with a –6 F temperature..if that doesn’t wake you up, I don’t know what will.

But besides complaining talking about the temperatures, I finished decorating my apartment for the holiday season!! So take a minute to enjoy my version of “Deck the Halls”!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
CIMG4403

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4411

Tis the season to be jolly,

CIMG4404

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4405

Don we now our gay apparel,

CIMG4406

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4407

Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,

CIMG4408

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4409

See the blazing Yule before us,

CIMG4410

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4417

Strike the harp and join the chorus,

CIMG4418

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4420

Follow me in merry measure,

CIMG4422

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

CIMG4424

While I tell of Yule tide treasures,

CIMG4414

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

And can you believe that it’s already Week 10 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas Cookies..we’re rolling right along! Today’s recipe I brainstormed on my 2 hour drive home to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving. We ended up having to make 3 types of bars for a family in town, so I contributed with my newfound recipe idea!

Your cookie dough brownies look amazing! What a brilliant idea :) And the holiday decorations look great! We're putting ours up this afternoon :)

This year I'm baking red velvet sandwich cookies, white chocolate-dipped molasses cookies, gingerbread people, and chocolate-dipped pretzels...oh, and peanut butter balls, too! It's so much fun baking for the holidays, isn't it?

This is so basic, but I wanna bake chewy sugar cookies. Or snickerdoodles. Your collection of cookies is so impressive!

I love your ornament collection, especially the baker bear. Seeing all of them, I can certainly see that the kitchen/baking is closest to your heart (mine too). Those brownies also look fantastic. Great idea. By the way, I'm holding a giveaway on my blog for Orglamix Organic makeup and you're welcome to come by and enter. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2010/12/orglamix-organic-mineral-makeup-review.html

That's really creative, what a good idea!(: I like how you used the chocolate peppermint bark, it always looks good but I've never tried it before.
